Welcome

Hi. My name is Veronica Sommers. I come from a family of 5 kids. I have 11 nieces and nephews, all of them are as cute as a button. Of course, I am prejuiced-does it sound like it or what?!  Our family has been everywhere it seems doing mission work and helping people out. One thing I will always remember about my family is that my parents love Jesus with all of their heart. Of course they aren't perfect, but they are special.

Some things I love doing are working with kids and emotionally distraught teenagers. We had a city ministry at home for kids and teenagers from off the street. Boy, did I ever have fun in that ministry. I am not involved there anymore because I have moved here to VA. for school from Ohio. Our kids ministry was in Canton.  I love winter sports such as ice skating, snow skiing, sledding, or whatever-just bring it on-I'll probably enjoy it!! .I love a good challenge and like to sometimes try dangerous things. I love my friends and enjoy hanging out discussing issues or just simlpy having a good time. One thing that I have tried to do in my life is to keep an open heart to God. He is my best friend and I enjoy times with Him the best.

The pictures below are of my crazy family and the kids ministry in Canton, Ohio.

I have moved here to Aroda, Virginia from Hartville, Ohio. I came here in September to go for General Studies nursing at Piedmont community college. I work at  a wonderful nursing home called Mountain View part-time. I love the elderly though sometimes they are a bit challenging. Altzeimer's patients have a way of being so sweet and the next minute being a BIG pickle-if you know what I mean. You've got to love them though-someday it might be me in the same shoes. Lord have mercy if that happens! Oh well, I believe you got to enjoy life and be a person of character now, so that you can grow old GRASCEFULLY-that would be nice! But I can't guarantee it-God will be there whatever happens.
My favorite saying is: To be a brave disciple is to be a bondslave to Jesus Christ and to realize that His service is perfect freedom.
When you know Jesus as your lover there is no stopping ground to what God can do and will do in your life. I serve a GREAT and BIG God and yet He loves me. WOW!
